Easter Weekend.

The Skowlund's came to Fargo for a very fun Easter weekend!  Mom and Dad were supposed to come as well but unfortunately dad got sick.  We missed having them here with us but still had a fun time!
The kids dyed eggs together which was very fun!
Kenzie had so much fun dying eggs and was a very patient 2 year old!
 The boys had fun!
 Kadence picked purple of course!
 Some of our eggs!
We took the kids to a water park hotel in Grand Forks on Saturday.  Everyone had a very good time!  I didn't take any pictures but the kids had fun swimming and going down all the slides!
Sunday we all headed to church for a very nice Easter Service.  Once we came back the kids played with their Easter baskets and had an egg hunt!  I didn't get any pictures of them doing those things but it was a great time!
Happy Easter!

Dance Dance and Daddy's Girl.

I had to post this cute picture of the girls.  These two spend an abundance of time dancing around the house to music.  They put their dance shoes on and go to town.  Old dance costumes make for the best dancing outfits!  I love how much they love to dance and it is something that they do very well together!
Snapped this picture of Kenzie and Ryan.  Daddy-o was tired after being on call all night and Kenzie wanted to snuggle.  She is such a daddy's girl!! I love her smile and the fact that she is snuggling her own baby!!

Happy Birthday Kadence Jean!

Every year that goes by seems to be quicker then the last.  I just wish life could slow down a little.  I can't believe my first baby girl is 5 years old already.  Five is a hard age for me!  I think it's because it is the age they are officially "school-aged" and I know that I will be sharing them with the world soon.  Kadence is such a smart, sassy, sweet girl.  I love watching her sing and dance around the living room and partake in everything 'girl.'  She is definitely a girly girl and I love every little part of her.  Even the challenging ones!
We started out the day with a birthday donut and a few Monster High surprises to hold her over until she could open her gifts.
Kadence had school and picked out her "birthday outfit" all by herself!
After school Kendallynn came home with us and we headed to the mall for some ice cream and pedicures!
Kendallynn wasn't thrilled with the water so she just had her nails and toes painted!
 Grandma Sue came along, too!
 Kadence enjoyed the pampering!
 So fun!
When we headed home Kadence was greeted with balloons from Grandpa Ken and Grandma Debbie!
Then it was time for presents!  After presents the girls were able to play for awhile until supper!
Kadence chose Space Aliens as her birthday dinner!  Holly and Mike met us there and we all had a fun supper!
I made Kadence "Monster High" cupcakes so we all headed back to the house for desert.  What a great day!  Happy Birthday Girly Girl!  Love you lots!

Sleeping Baby.

Ryan and I always go check on the kids before we go to bed and give them kisses.  I used to laugh at my own mom when she told me she did the same thing.  Now I understand.  There is just something special about that peaceful time when your babies are sound asleep.  It gives me a sense of peace so that I am able to sleep better myself.  Last night when we went in to check on the kids this is how we found Kenzie.  Sound asleep with her own baby right next to her (creepily wide awake, ha).  It was so cute I had to snap a picture and thankfully it didn't wake her up.  Precious.
