Grandpa Days.

Dad decided to spend some time with our family since he was forced into his early retirement.  We were happy to have him with us for so many days.  The kids sure enjoyed hanging out with Grandpa Ken and especially making trips to Hornbacher's for donuts and hot chocolate.
We showed how crazy the kids are when they play on the slip-n-slide and in the little pool.
We went fishing for crappies and had a blast!
And then relaxed on the couch when we were exhausted from our busy days.

We all had so much fun with Grandpa here for so many days and can't wait for him to come back to hang out with us some more!

The Fourth.

Happy Independence Day!  Our family decided to stay in town and just hang out for the holiday weekend.  Ryan had to work for a little while on the 5th so it really didn't make sense for us to go anywhere.  Sometimes quiet weekends at home are some of the best!  We went and purchased some fireworks so we could have some fun of our own.
Look at that bag of fireworks!
Landon was so excited to light off some fireworks.  He was almost as excited as Ryan! Almost.
I think they were a little louder then Landon was expecting!
My thought exactly Kenzie.  Do we really need to let the 6 year old light them all?!
My Dad came last minute on the 4th so he was able to enjoy some fun as well!
Then we headed to the fireworks at MSUM.  It was Kenzie's first time seeing a big firework show.  I wasn't sure how she was going to react.
We all had a great time!

End of June.

It's hard to believe June is already almost over.  Soon it is the 4th of July and then the summer seems to end shortly after.  We have kept quite busy so far this summer with all the kids' activities and playing outside.  I haven't snapped nearly enough pictures as usual!  I had a few random ones I wanted to share.
The kids spend a great deal of time checking on their garden.  I am so glad we decided to plant one this year.  So far things seem to be growing as they should!  We can't wait until we can eat those fresh peas and tomatoes!
Another one bites the dust... Landon lost his front tooth!   It has been wiggly for awhile now and Ryan couldn't wait to get his hands in there and yank it out!  This was a hard one for me!  Now begins the awkward toothless stage followed by the awkward big/crooked teeth stage.  Good thing those big browns are not going anywhere!
Ryan, the kids and I went out to the fairgrounds to watch Fargo's first Run or Dye race.  I had contemplated running it but never got around to signing up.
We were pretty excited to see cousin Jack cruise by.
Kadence was pleasantly surprised when we ran into Kendalynn's dad and sister who were waiting for Kendallynn and her mom to finish!  We were able to watch them as well!  Very fun!
Nothing like a little iced hot chocolate to cool off and end June.  I am loving all the time I get to spend with the kids!

Gymnastics.

Kadence completed her first session of gymnastics this week.  She had a blast and learned a lot.  She asked right away if she could keep doing gymnastics for the next session.  It was so fun to watch her bounce around and have fun.
Kadence's friend Kendallynn was in her class and the two of them had a lot of fun together!

Love this shot of the girls!
Kadence with her first gymnastics award!! Keep working hard sweet girl! We are so proud of you!
